Unintended Approach to Urban Sustainability : The Case of Greenery in Pyongyang

The DPRK is usually considered to be an underdeveloped country. However, through examination of greenery and urban-rural incorporation, this paper argues that harsh economic conditions pushed the country to implement mature policy measures regarding sustainable urban development. The findings of this study may be used as a starting point for further, more detailed research.
